The 6th annual Fresh Coast Plein Air Festival was held on Friday and Saturday, June 23rd and 24th in Marquette, MI. The event attracted the most artists ever with 38 participants! The festival has been part of the “Grand Finale” of the City of Marquette Art Week, a week-long celebration of Marquette's creative community held during the last full week of June. This year's judging, reception, presentation of awards, and artwork display was held at Provisions MQT, one of Marquette’s newest coffeehouses on the shore of lake Superior. At the Deo: 2023 High School Students Art Exhibit

Marquette County Area High School Artists have their work on display at the Deo Gallery. There is no shortage of talent in the Upper Peninsula, and it's obvious that this talent has been well nurtured and developed by families and local educators. Here's to the future of Lake Superior Area Artists! The Deo Gallery in located at the Marquette Arts & Culture Center on the lower level of the Peter White Public Library, 217 North Front St., Marquette. The gallery is free and open to the public.

On Exhibit during April, 2023 at the Deo Gallery This exhibition showcases a body of work from student graphic designers in The School of Art and Design at Northern Michigan University. First-level through senior level coursework and some independent projects are included. The work addresses a wide conceptual range from advocacy, to typographic experimentation, to menu rebranding and layout design. These exhibitors are studying graphics to complete degrees in Art and Design, with studio concentrations in Graphic Design, Illustration, and Photography.
