There are a number of events that the Lake Superior Art Association would like to highlight.

Applications will open on January 1, 2024 and be accepted through March 31, 2024.
The 64th Annual Art on the Rocks Fine Art Show is scheduled for Saturday, July 27 – Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette, Michigan.
January 30th

Marquette Arts and Culture Center.
The Art Talk on January 30th will be held in the Shiras Room at Peter White Public Library at 6:30. The topic will be Group of Seven. Lynn Buckland-Brown will be the presenter.

Dog Dayz Children’s Exhibit
RECEPTION

Artwork Pick-Up Friday, March 1st 3pm to 6pm
This elementary children’s art exhibit coincides with the UP 200 Dog Sled Race, an outdoor event that begins in Marquette. Students present their art expressing their visions of sled dogs and the race.

Judy Parlato: Fiber Arts “Lady in Gold”
Judy Parlato, LSAA fiber artist from Gwinn, will demonstrate the process she uses in creating art quilts. Judy accepts every design challenge presented her usually stretching the boundaries of traditional quilt design.

Hiawatha Music Festival Artists in the Round
Hiawatha continues the tradition of presenting a 25-booth artisans and crafters show for the Festival attendees to enjoy. Each year, Festival goers enjoy the easy stroll through the Artist In The Round area, where they are treated to a variety of handmade arts and fine crafts.

Waterfront Art Festival
Applications must be received by July 21, 2024 Event: Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 10:00am – 4:00pm
Held in Escanaba, MI at the Ludington Park, he Waterfront Art Festival is the area’s largest and longest running art festival. Artists from the Upper Peninsula and beyond will display their artwork.

This is a Juried event. No fee, but membership must be current.
This show offers LSAA members an opportunity to exhibit their work in a juried show at the Deo Gallery, complete with a public reception and awards.

Held in the Marquette History Center, this annual sale offers a wide variety of arts that will make perfect gifts for your loved ones this holiday season. Holiday shoppers are invited to a beautiful space to shop the juried artist’s sale, visit world class exhibits, an old-fashioned bake sale, wreath sale, MRHC membership drive and more.

Held in Escanaba, MI. All media welcome, including but not limited to: fine art, photography, wood work, pottery, glass, fiber, basketry and jewelry. All work must be of original design and made by applying artist.

Held in Escanaba, MI Northern Exposure is entering its 30th year and we would love for you to be a part of it. This is a juried show—meaning that you enter digital images of your work, we submit the photos to the juror, they select who gets into the show, and then we contact you letting you know if you made it in or not.
