On Exhibit during April, 2023 at the Deo Gallery This exhibition showcases a body of work from student graphic designers in The School of Art and Design at Northern Michigan University. First-level through senior level coursework and some independent projects are included. The work addresses a wide conceptual range from advocacy, to typographic experimentation, to menu rebranding and layout design. These exhibitors are studying graphics to complete degrees in Art and Design, with studio concentrations in Graphic Design, Illustration, and Photography. The Lake Superior Art Association would like to respectfully acknowledge the passing of Nancy Vanerka. Nancy as a member of the LSAA serving as Publicity Chair. She was the editor of the Kiosk and our previous website.  Nancy Lynne Vanerka, age 55, of Chocolay Township, MI, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at home, in the loving and comforting care of her family and UP Home Health and Hospice.Born August 7, 1967, in LaGrange, Illinois, a daughter of Douglas Fred and Dorothy Jean (Splinter) Vanerka, Nancy was raised in Hinsdale and Oak Brook, Illinois.
