May 16th LSAA Program, Ben Bohnsack Wood Block Prints

This LSAA May program will be on Tuesday, May 16th , 6:30-8:30 PM.

In this program, Marquette Woodcut Printer Ben Bohnsack will discuss his craft. He’ll also talk about artist residencies.

Ben Bohnsack began his career as an artist in retirement, applying his life-long creative energies in new ways. After a weekend in 2012 with printmaker Nick Wroblewski, at the North House Folk School in Grand Marais, Minnesota, he launched out on his own, always learning more with each new print. He also took classes in drawing, painting, art history and business practices for artists at Northern Michigan
University.

Ben is a member of Lake Superior Art Association and Zero Degrees Artist Gallery. He has enjoyed many gallery shows, exhibitions, awards and artist residencies, as well as
teaching presentations and workshops
