Congratulations to all exhibiting members and award recipients! Congratulations to all the artists who displayed works in the Lake Superior Art Association Member's Exhibit at the Deo Gallery. JoAnn Shelby and Michele Tuccini lent their artistic talents to hanging the exhibit. The Thursday evening reception was full of artists, friends, family, and art lovers. Annual LSAA Members Exhibit

Judy Parlato's "Lady in Gold" won last year's Best in Show award Members of the Lake Superior Art Association will be displaying a diverse selection of artwork at the Annual LSAA Members Exhibit on November 4th through the 30th in the Deo Gallery of the Peter White Public Library. The exhibit, located down the west staircase, is open during library hours. The public is encouraged to drop in to see the exhibit and attend the reception scheduled for Thursday November 7 from 6-8 pm. LSAA Challenge Exhibit: Opposites

The Lake Superior Art Association's annual Challenge Art Exhibit is on display October 1 through 31 in the Deo Gallery of the Peter White Public Library. The theme of this exhibit is “Opposites,” which artists might interpret with colors, shapes, media, or subject matter.  The talent in the Marquette area does not disappoint with this diverse collection of opposing ideas and representations! Call to Artists: The LSAA Members’ Exhibit!

The 2024 LSAA Member Exhibit will be presented from November 4th to November 30th at the Deo Gallery, Arts & Culture Center located in lower level of the Peter White Public Library. Members may enter only one piece, 2D, 3D, any medium. Show Reception on Thursday, November 7th, 6-8 pm ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS: LSAA dues must be paid.                                                             Members may enter one piece. LSAA President Meets with High School Art Award Winner

LSAA Officers met with the Winner of the High School Art Award. Angeline DeVries and President Lynn Buckland-Brown Marquette County Area High School Artists have their work on display at the Deo Gallery. / Reception on April 11th, from 6-8 pm Marquette Arts & Culture Center 217 North Front St., Marquette, MI Free and open to the public Artist's Statement I may be riding in a car or tramping through the woods on snowshoes, constantly scanning my surroundings for images that might produce an exciting painting.  Usually I go hiking for periods of thirty minutes to three hours and shoot from 30-200 images, which I later review as to which hold painting potential.  I crop and adjust the image on my computer and then work from a monitor to create the final painting. …
